Use only
UA2410
For a description of the controls on the optional PCU, see Chapter 3, “The User
Interface”.
Wait 12
seconds
NOTE:
The PCU receives power from the scanner. After power is applied
(either because the scanner has been turned on or because the PCU has been
connected after the scanner is already running), the PCU requires 12 seconds
to calibrate the mouse stick.
Do not use the PCU – in particular, do not touch the mouse stick – for 12
seconds after power is applied. If you do not wait 12 seconds, the cursor may
drift on the screen, and you will have to unplug the PCU, plug it in again and
wait 12 seconds to get control of the cursor.
Attaching the PCU
To connect a Palm Control Unit (PCU) to the Pro Focus, it must first be connected to
adaptor UA1271.
To connect the PCU:
1
Connect the PCU to the adaptor. Make sure that the dot on the plug is lined up
with the dot on the socket. (see Fig 2-9).
WARNING Make sure that the PCU is labeled UA2410. See Fig 3-16 on page 70. If
you use a different model of PCU, pressing the keys will not have the function you
expect.
