ECG
The ElectroCardioGram (ECG) module enables the user to synchronize the
ultrasound image acquisition to the heartbeat.
ECG is available in B-mode, Color, Doppler and M-mode.
ECG is not available when using Split Screen.
The ECG module for the Pro Focus can be purchased as an option. For more
information, see Appendix C, “Specifications”.
Connecting the Electrodes
The ECG socket for connecting the ECG electrodes is on the front of the scanner (see
Fig 19-1).
The ECG electrodes and electrode connector cable can be purchased from B-K
Medical. For more information, see Appendix C, “Specifications”.

WARNING Do not use the ECG module UA2203 for diagnostic or monitoring
purposes. It is intended for correlation of heart cycle to ultrasound imaging only.
WARNING Not for direct cardiac application.
WARNING Remove the ECG electrodes from the patient before using a defibrillator.
WARNING The conductive parts of the electrodes including the black neutral
electrode, must not come into contact with any other conductive parts, including
ground.
