Install the AltiGen TAPI Service Provider on the Client
The client must meet the following requirements:
•
A Windows operating system specified in the client manuals
•
Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, ACT!, or Goldmine installed on the client
•
Network connection with TCP/IP enabled
To install AltiGen TAPI Service Provider on the client system
1. On your MAXCS CD-ROM, open the
TAPI Gateway
folder.
2. Open the
Tapi_Client
subfolder, and run SETUP.EXE.
3. When prompted, enter the
Server IP address
, the client’s
Extension Number
,
and the client’s
Password
.
Set Up Phone and Modem Options
1. Go to
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options
.
2. If Phone and Modem Options have never been configured, enter the
Area Code
and
the number to dial to get an outside line (usually
9
). (This number is the
Route
Access
number configured in the System Configuration window,
Number Plan
tab.) Enter this number in both
To access an outside line
fields.
3. If Phone and Modem Options is already configured, click the
Edit
Button to verify
that the correct Route Access number is entered in both
To access an outside line
fields.
