There is a dependency between frequency and acceptable amplitude. A
graph indicates whether the chosen setting of frequency and amplitude
is acceptable.
The maximum peak-to-peak
Amplitude
is limited by the chosen jitter
frequency.
Note that
high-frequency
sinusoidal data jitter can be generated by the
Periodic Jitter
function or by applying an
External
jitter source.
This checkbox controls a switch. The Clock Output and Trigger Output
ports can be connected before or after the clock modulator (the Subrate
Clock Output always follows the clock modulator).
When this checkbox is enabled, the Clock Output provides and the
Trigger Output follows the modulated clock. When this checkbox is
disabled, the Clock Output and the Trigger Output ports provide pure
signals without sinusoidal jitter.
N O T E
This checkbox has no effect when spread spectrum clocking is active. SSC takes
effect on all clock and trigger outputs.
