
STOP is pressed, the operating head will return the tube in use to its
proper position in the cassette, wipe the probe and stops in the left
(standby) position.
When the test is interrupted by pressing STOP, it cannot be resumed
at the cassette position where it stopped. If you wish to finish test-
ing the interrupted cassette, remove any tested samples, push the
cassette to the back left corner of the left (input) deck and press the
START button.
When finished testing, press STOP to exit from the test menu to
“Cryoscope Ready”

H. Adjustment and replacement of parts and
assemblies
1. Air Filter Replacement
The air filters (see figure 3) should be cleaned or replaced as fol-
lows, monthly or whenever they become clogged with dust to the
point where samples cool more slowly than normal:
a. Remove the filters by gripping the edge of the square fin-
ger-hole and pulling straight out.
b. With the open sides of the finger-holes down, push the new air
filters firmly, straight in as far as they will go.
2. Fuse Replacement
The power switch and fuse holder are located beside the power cord
connector on the back panel of the instrument. Switch the power
switch to the off ( O ) position and disconnect the power cord.
Use a small flat-blade screwdriver or similar tool to pry open the
fuse holder door. Remove the fuse holder located inside. Visually
check for a blown fuse. If there is any doubt, test the fuses with a
continuity checker or ohmmeter or simply replace them with new
fuses. Double check the values marked on the fuses. The 4C3 will
