Scan procedure

After setting the display range and the gate position, the
ultrasonic signals of defects can be easily identified in
the A-scan. Now you can start the inspection.

– Move the probe to the starting point and check the

position on the screen.

– In the Command bar tap the

icon (see

page 76). The instrument is now ready for displaying
the measurements in the B-scan and the C-scan.

– Move the probe over the surface to be inspected as

previously set in the various parameters (see from
page 221). In B-scan and C-scan, you can follow the
display of the measurement results in real time (1).

– When using a scanner without encoder for the index

axis, tap the arrow buttons (2) to set the value for the
track shift on the index axis manually (see

on page 222).
