Recording a DAC curve
ATTENTION
Before starting to record a reference curve,
the instrument has to be correctly calibrated
(see page 165).
As soon as a new curve is recorded, a possibly already
existing curve must be deleted (see page 201). If neces-
sary, make sure that the old curve has been saved to a
free dataset before starting to record a new curve.
When the setting RF (radio frequency) is selected in the
Rectify function (see page 137), after recording the first
DAC point all further DAC points can only be recorded
on the same side of the zero line. All DAC points will
then be either in the positive or negative range, depend-
ing on the first DAC point recorded. For measurements,
you can position the gates in the entire range above and
below the zero line.
Note
To record DAC echoes, you can use the en-
velope curve instead of the A-scan (see
Eval
Source , page 159). You cannot use the en-
velope curve when the setting RF (radio fre-
quency) is selected in the Rectify function
(see page 137).
You can configure the Measurement line
accordingly to display the specific readings
(see page 120).
