Cylinder gauge 50…100 mm
Test procedure
– Take measurements at 3 positions in both transverse -A-
and longitudinal -B- directions, as illustrated.
Difference between actual and nominal diameter max. 0.10 mm.
Note
The cylinder bores must not be measured when the cylinder
block is mounted on a repair stand with engine and gearbox
support -VAS 6095-, as measurements may then be incorrect.

Arrow on piston crown -arrows- points in direction of cylinder 1.
4.2
Separating new conrods
On new conrods it is possible that the breaking point is not fully
separated. Proceed as follows, when the conrod bearing cap
cannot be removed by hand:
