will instead move the cursor to the <OK> button. I find using the mouse to click on the
desired field to enter or edit the safest way to work here.
When entering text directly into this dialog, the Function keys can be used for additional
editing controls. For example, if you have several badges that have the same second line,
you can type in the text for the second line of the first badge, and then press <F2> to copy
the text to the clipboard. Then place the cursor in the next line #2 and press <F3> to paste
the information in the line.
After accepting the sample text file shown above, the new layout with the four badges would

Tips for Multiple Plate Engraving
·
Try using Frame Text when merging in a list of different length text so the margins will
work to keep the text on the plates as desired.
·
When using different cutting tools in a multiple plate job, be sure to set the colors for each
tool on the original plate before creating the multiples.
·
When engraving a multiple color multiple plate job using more than 1 master plate, only
send the job to the engraver one page at a time. Otherwise the colors will be sent for
each page rather than all colors sent for each page.
·
After the multiple plates have been created, individual plates can be edited and adjusted
as required.
Scanning and Graphic editing
Vision Pro allows the user to scan and vectorize a wide variety of artwork for use on Vision
engraving systems. Vision Pro includes a full suite of editing tools designed to make the
scanning and editing process fast and straightforward. The software is designed to include
all the features needed to lay out the final job and engrave it directly to the engraving
system, without the need for outside software.
Scanners today are common and inexpensive devices that can be used for a wide range of
artwork on the PC. The problem that we encounter in engraving is that the images
produced by a scanner are raster images. Raster images consist of a series of dots that are
used to define the image. Raster images are commonly used in many PC devices such as
printers, fax machines, photographs and many clip art images intended for printing.
