Setting the location for the diamond adaptor

Rotate the ring attachment by pressing either the left or right arrow keys until one of the
holding pegs are positioned in the 12 o’ clock position.  Press the Set Surface button.

 

Make sure that the vise locking screws are loose and press the Shift key.  Press and hold
the right arrow key until the vice opens wide enough to allow the diamond adaptor to clear
the chuck when lowered, leaving a clearance of approximately ½”.

Press the Jog Mode key.  This will allow the Z axis to be moved up or down.  The green LED
will now be lit on the button.  Using the down arrow button move the z axis down until the
diamond scratch adaptor is in line with the holding peg at the 12 o’ clock position. If the ring
attachment needs to be rotated to align the peg press the Shift key again and use the left or
