6.1 Cleaning
General information
The MIRUS Controller is a hygienically non-critical medical device. The device surface and the
cables are accessible to the user.
The surface disinfectants listed in the following table are suitable for wipe disinfection of the
device surfaces. These disinfectants have been tested by the manufacturer of the MIRUS
Controller and were found to safe for use on the surfaces at the time of the test. The
composition of the cleaning and disinfecting agents is the responsibility of the manufacturer of
these agents and may change over time.

The use of other surface disinfectants is at the responsibility of the user.
Many materials are damaged by certain organic solvents that are sometimes used in cleaning
and disinfecting agents (e.g. phenols, halogen-releasing compounds, strong organic acids,
etc.) In addition to their main constituents, cleaning and disinfecting agents often contain
additives that may cause damage.
Information on the materials used for the external components of the MIRUS Controller can
be found in Chapter 8.10.
CAUTION Risk to persons and equipment damage due to the incorrect use of
cleaning and disinfecting agents
Adhere to the product information provided by the manufacturers
of the cleaning and disinfecting agents.
IMPORTANT Equipment damage caused by ingress of liquid
Do not allow any liquid to penetrate the MIRUS Controller.
Only use wipe disinfection to clean the MIRUS Controller.
The MIRUS Controller is not suitable for sterilisation by autoclaving.
Keep the fill port flap closed.
