8 Specifications

MIRUS Controller, SW 2.03.02, Additional Information Master (en-GB)

Danger due to incomplete data transfer

Data transmitted to the patient monitor, such as measured values or alarms, may be displayed
incompletely  or  incorrectly.  The  data  is  used  as  complement  of  the  MIRUS  Controller  as
primary  alarm  source  to  establish  a  distributed  alarm  system  with  unconfirmed  alarm
transmission  according  to  IEC  60601-1-8.  Only  use  the  MIRUS  Controller  as  the  primary
source for alarms and viewing measured values.

Danger due to delayed data transfer

Signals from measured values and alarms of the MIRUS Controller can be delayed before
transfer to a patient monitor. These delays may vary depending on the conditions under which
the product is operating. For this reason, specified delay times are not available.

8.9.3 RJ22/RJ10 interface

The RJ22/RJ10 interface transfers a high priority alarm signal to a connected nurse call device.
The transfer takes place via a galvanic insulated changeover contact. Data transfer to the
MIRUS Controller is not possible.

8.9.4 LAN interface (RJ45)

The LAN interface uses TCI-IP and is only used for service purpose by authorized personnel.
For safety reasons, this interface is deactivated during the application of volatile anaesthetic.

8.9.5 SD card interface

Software updates of the MIRUS Controller can be carried out via the SD card interface (micro
SD). For security reasons, a dedicated and coded SD card (SW update) is needed, which the
manufacturer (TIM) makes available as required.

Comment:

For further information about the software update refer to the Additional Information (AI)
Chapter 6.3.

Event log data of the MIRUS Controller can be downloaded via the SD card interface (micro
SD), e.g. for scientific purposes. For security reasons, a dedicated and coded SD card (Data
download) is needed, which is available from the manufacturer (TIM).
