Configure Thermo Fisher (Connect) accounts

(manager/administrator)

Manager- and administrator-level users configure Genexus

™

Software to link to one or

more Connect user accounts.
When the Connect account is configured and active, administrators can perform the

following tasks in the Genexus

™

Software:

• Download the latest software updates
• Download additional plugin software
• Download assay configuration packages
• Upload unmapped BAM files to Ion Reporter

™

Software on Connect for data

analysis

1.

Sign in to Genexus

™

Software.

2.

Click (Settings)

Thermo Fisher Account.

The Settings > Thermo Fisher Account Settings screen opens.

3.

If you do not have a Connect account, create a new Connect account. If you

already have a Connect account, proceed to step 4.

a.

Click Register for Ion Reporter Cloud.
The internet browser opens to the Connect sign-in screen.

b.

Click Create an account, then enter the information that is required to create

a new account.

c.

Click Create an account at the bottom of the screen to complete the

registration.

In Genexus

™

Software, click Add new.

5.

In the Add Thermo Fisher Account dialog box, enter the information that is

required to create a new account, then click Save.

Select Thermo Fisher Cloud from the list.

Name

Enter a unique account name. The name can contain only

alphanumeric characters (0

Zz), full stops/periods (.),

underscores (_), or hyphens (

Enter your Connect user name and password.
The username is the email that you used to register for the

Connect account.

Select the checkbox if this account will be used with Ion

Software. If you make this selection, a Set as

Default Account option becomes available. Select the Set as

Default Account checkbox to set the account as the default
