Calibrating the
Load Cells
Load ȱ cells ȱ are ȱ sensors ȱ that ȱ measure ȱ the ȱ weight ȱ of ȱ the ȱ material ȱ cartridges ȱ
and ȱ the ȱ waste ȱ container ȱ in ȱ the ȱ printer. ȱ It ȱ is ȱ important ȱ that ȱ you ȱ periodically ȱ
check ȱ that ȱ the ȱ weight ȱ measurements ȱ are ȱ accurate, ȱ both ȱ for ȱ convenience ȱ and ȱ
to ȱ prevent ȱ unnecessary ȱ waste ȱ of ȱ printing ȱ materials. ȱ It ȱ is ȱ recommended ȱ that ȱ
you ȱ calibrate ȱ the ȱ load ȱ cells ȱ once ȱ a ȱ month.
To calibrate load cells:
1. Start ȱ the ȱ Load ȱ Cell ȱ Calibration ȱ wizard ȱ from ȱ the ȱ Options ȱ menu ȱ (see ȱ
figure 6 Ȭ 8 ȱ on ȱ page 11). ȱ
2. In ȱ the ȱ following ȱ screen, ȱ select ȱ one ȱ or ȱ more ȱ load ȱ cells ȱ that ȱ you ȱ want ȱ to ȱ
calibrate. ȱ

3. Remove ȱ each ȱ selected ȱ cartridge ȱ from ȱ the ȱ materials ȱ cart, ȱ and ȱ click ȱ
