Pattern Test
The ȱ pattern ȱ test ȱ is ȱ the ȱ basic ȱ verification ȱ of ȱ the ȱ printer’s ȱ ability ȱ to ȱ produce ȱ
quality ȱ models, ȱ since ȱ it ȱ demonstrates ȱ the ȱ condition ȱ of ȱ the ȱ nozzles ȱ in ȱ the ȱ
print ȱ heads. ȱ Make ȱ sure, ȱ therefore, ȱ that ȱ you ȱ perform ȱ this ȱ test ȱ weekly, ȱ and ȱ
whenever ȱ you ȱ suspect ȱ a ȱ printing ȱ problem.
To perform the pattern test:
1. Make ȱ sure ȱ that ȱ the ȱ build ȱ tray ȱ is ȱ empty.
2. Prepare ȱ a ȱ sheet ȱ of ȱ pink ȱ paper—A Ȭ 4 ȱ or ȱ Letter ȱ size.
3. In ȱ the ȱ printer, ȱ tape ȱ the ȱ pink ȱ paper ȱ to ȱ the ȱ surface ȱ left ȱ of ȱ the ȱ build ȱ tray.

This ȱ lowers ȱ the ȱ build ȱ tray, ȱ so ȱ that ȱ models ȱ on ȱ the ȱ tray ȱ are ȱ not ȱ damaged.
