11.3  Water cooling 

 

a)  Fit the starboard water pipe assembly .

 This has straight hose at both ends. The 

rear connects to the water pump outlet on the back of the engine.

b)  Remove the port-side carburettor inlet manifold. 

c)  Remove the rubber water hoses between the expansion tank and the elbows on 

the port-side cylinder heads.  

d)  Remove  the  elbows  from  the  port-side  cylinder  heads  and  swap  them  over 

between the front and rear cylinder heads. 

This  will  change  the  outlet  angles  and  allow  the  expansion  tank  to  be 
rotated clockwise a little.
