For the AE shift sequential shot, you do not need to set the shutter operation. (The shutter
operation menu will not appear.)
œ
The sequential shot speed setting is retained even if the main switch is set to “MONITOR
OFF” or
Ô
, or the digital camera is turned off.
œ
You can set the main switch to “MONITOR OFF” and take pictures using the viewfinder.
œ
To exit the Shooting Setting Screen, press the MODE button.

Press the shutter release button to capture the
sequential shot.
œ
For AE shift sequential shots, the digital camera will
capture all seven images (it is not necessary to hold
down the shutter release button).
œ
If the main switch is set to
Õ
, the recording indicator
K
will appear in the LCD monitor while images are
being captured.

HINT
To avoid missing a photo opportunity
œ
There is a slight time lag between when the shutter release button is pressed and the image is
actually captured. The following measures are recommended to avoid missing a photo
opportunity during sequential shot shooting:
1
Wait for the desired composition with the shutter release button pressed halfway.
œ
The camera begins the internal process to capture an image (Pre-capture function).
2
To take the picture, gently press the shutter release button all the way.
œ
The sequential shot begins with the image captured at the time the shutter release button
is pressed.
Short cut for setting the exposure correction
œ
If the Shooting Setting Screen or Information Screen is not displayed, you can press the arrow
button to quickly display the icons for setting the exposure correction (see page 72). If one of
these settings is not possible, then that icon will not appear.
NOTE
œ
In the sequential shot mode, the flash and self-timer cannot be used.
œ
When a sequential shot speed of 0.06-second intervals is selected, a rate of 15 images per
second is effected, making the actual interval rate 0.0666... seconds.
œ
With AE shift sequential shots, the exposure may not change depending on the ambient lighting.
