of the video clip to be saved.
“CLIP FORMER”: Saves the beginning part of the video clip
(up to and including the selected scene).
“CLIP LATTER”:
Saves the ending part of the video clip
(from and including the selected scene).

Press the SET button.

A screen confirming whether the selected scene for
clipping is correct appears.
œ
To change the scene, turn the jog dial.

Press the SET button.
œ
A screen confirming whether or not you want to erase
the original video clip appears.

on the arrow button to select whether you
want the original video clip erased when the clipping is
executed.
“YES”: The original video clip is erased.
“NO”:
The original video clip is not erased.

Press the SET button.
œ
“EDIT” and then “LOADING” are displayed, and then you
return to the Edit Video Screen.
œ
The selected portion of the video clip is saved as a
separate video clip.
œ
If “YES” was selected at step 9, the original video clip is
erased as the selected portion is saved.
œ
To return to the Playback Setting Screen, press the
MODE button, or select
C
and press the SET button.
HELP
If “CARD FULL” appears
œ
This indicates that there is not enough available memory to save the new video clip. For more
information, please refer to “Concerning video clip editing” on page 113.
If “BATTERY EMPTY” appears
œ
Video clip editing cannot be performed because the remaining charge in the batteries is too low.
Either use the separately sold AC adapter, recharge the batteries, or replace them with charged
batteries, and then perform the video clip editing.
NOTE
œ
If the original video clip is being protected, even if you select “YES” at step 9 and press the SET
button, the original video clip will not be erased. If you want it to be erased, you need to first
remove the protection (see page 118).
