COMPOSITION IMAGE (ADD PHOTO FUNCTION)
You can insert an image into a frame set in a still image captured in the still image mode, an
image saved after magnifying (see page 99), or a copied image (see page 121) to create a
composition image consisting of an image within an image.
Check the focus setting before creating the composite image

If the subject that you will shoot for the composite image is close (between 10 to 50 cm), set the
focus to
c
(macro photography) (see page 66).
Display the Image for the Background

Display the still image for the background (see pages
92 to 94).

Press the MODE button to display the Playback
Setting Screen.

Select the edit still image icon
r
and press the SET
button.

The Edit Photo Screen appears.

“ADD PHOTO” is selected (displayed in orange).

Press the SET button.

The guidelines to set the frame for the image to be
inserted appear (white lines).

If the image has been rotated, it will be returned to its
original orientation.
NOTE
œ
The composite image function cannot be used if the camera is connected to a PAL system TV.
(No image will appear on the TV monitor.) Please use the camera’s LCD monitor screen to
perform this procedure. If connected to an NTSC system TV, however, the TV can be used to
create composite images.
