Use the arrow button or the jog dial to move the

mark to the video clip that you want to attach and
press the SET button.

on the arrow button to select whether you
want the original video clips erased when the joining is
executed.
“YES”: The original video clips are erased.
“NO”:
The original video clips are not erased.

Press the SET button.

“EDIT” and then “LOADING” are displayed, and then you
return to the Edit Video Screen.
œ
The two video clips are saved together as a separate
video clip.
œ
If “YES” was selected at step 7, the original video clips
are erased as the joined video clip is saved.
œ
To return to the Playback Setting Screen, press the
MODE button, or select
C
and press the SET button.
HELP
If “CARD FULL” appears
œ
This indicates that there is not enough available memory to save the new video clip. For more
information, please refer to “Concerning video clip editing” on page 113.
If “SIZE ERROR” appears
œ
If the resolution of the video clips are different, they cannot be joined. To join video clips
together, select video clips recorded in the same resolution.
If “FRAME ERROR” appears
œ
The video clips cannot be joined because their frame rates are different. To join video clips,
select two clips with matching frame rates.
If “BATTERY EMPTY” appears
œ
Video clip editing cannot be performed because the remaining charge in the batteries is too low.
Either use the separately sold AC adapter, recharge the batteries, or replace them with charged
batteries, and then perform the video clip editing.
NOTE
œ
If the original video clip is being protected, even if you select “YES” at step 7 and press the SET
button, the original video clip will not be erased. If you want it to be erased, you need to first
remove the protection (see page 118).
