Cleaning the UFC sensor

About this task

Procedure:

Do this procedure daily.

Attention:

Do not use solvents to clean the UFC sensor as this will damage the

fiber optics.

Tools:

A lint free cloth moistened with water

Procedure

Switch off power to the printer.

Open the front cover.

Open the upper mark sensor assembly

(1)

by raising the upper mark sensor

assembly lever

(3)

Wipe the sensors

(2)

with a lint free cloth moistened with water.
