3.2.3.5 Measurement wheels for the shaft encoder with solid shaft
Measurement wheels, often also called friction wheel or bogie wheel, are required to measure
routes with the shaft encoder (rotating, incremental measurement system). With the corresponding
time information, the marking system can calculate the REA JET HR
pro
2K/4K product speed and
the necessary information for the print. The design of the measurement wheel must correspond
with the condition of the product / conveyor system. REA JET offers three different types of
measuring wheels:
