I/O multiplier
Figure 203: Scope of delivery of the I/O multiplier
4.2.22.1 Area of application of the I/O multiplier
A different supply to the internal I/O switch may be required depending REA JET HR
pro
2K/4Kon
the application or the components used.
When connecting e.g. a signal lamp, the supply is provided by the internal HR
pro
power
supply. The "bridges" required for UB+ and mass are contained in the signal lamp (also see
4.2.12.1.3).
When connecting with an SPS (e.g initiating print via an input of REA JET HR
pro
2K/4K)
external power supply is usually desired (also see 4.2.12.1.3). By using the SPS/circuit
cabinet power supply, you avoid ''parasitic voltage" (only one potential in the installation).
This achieves a higher degree of operative safety.
When simultaneously requesting e.g. the REA JET signal lamp and the coupling with an external
SPS, a conflict arises in terms of power supply of REA JET HR
pro
2K internal I/O circuit. At the
same time, a possibility has to be found as to how to connect the two "components" with the I/O
connection to REA JET HR
pro
2K.
The I/O multiplier offered by REA JET offers a solution for both requirements:
After connecting the I/O connection of the REA JET HR
pro
2K, the I/O multiplier provides
three function-compatible I/O connections. This triples the I/O connection of the control
device.
It is possible revoke the UB+ and mass bridges in the respective components (required for
the supply of REA JET HR
pro
2K internal I/O circuit) by means of the internal jumpers of
the I/O multiplier.
To achieve the IP protection
class IP65, unused connections
have to be sealed with the
corresponding screw caps.
