3.2.3.3 Shaft encoder DG 5000 with integrated cable (with solid shaft)

This shaft encoder provides 5,000 pulses per revolution and a very fine resolution.
This measuring system with integrated cable (5-meter cable) is a price-effective
alternative.
As a result of the smaller size of the cable gland in contrast to the M23 flange plug
connector, this variant is also highly suitable for small spaces.
3.2.3.3.1 Assembly instructions for the shaft encoder with solid shaft
Please observe the following instructions when installing the encoders offered by REA JET!
Do not mount the shaft encoder on the circumference of a
deviating shaft / bend pulley or the bottom side of a conveyor
belt. The values measured there may deviate from those of the
object to be printed.
1.:
On the deviating shaft, this may result in faulty
measurements as a result of the deformation of the
flexible conveyor (buckling of the conveyor belt
directly at the pullet, expansion of the outside
circumference).
2.:
As a result of the elasticity / flexibility of the
conveyor belt, the drive pulse will not arrive
simultaneously at the entire conveyor belt.
Depending on the running direction, it may occur
that the conveyor belt at the encoder already
moves, whereas it is still at a standstill at the print
head, or vice versa.
The following depiction should illustrate these relationships.
