3.2.2.4 Assembly of the print heads with the retainer rod
The retainer rod offered by REA JET can be used for a single print head up to the assembly of a
print head group with four print heads. The assembly of the rod can be in all directions. The
information in this chapter therefore applies to a single print head up to all groups with up to 4 print
heads.

The retainer rod for the print heads is available in two lengths, 300 mm and 600 mm.

For the connection of retainer rod with a print head or a print head group, the industrial markets
expects a stable and form-fitting assembly. REA JET ensures this with the centering element
included in the delivery. Half of this centering element is placed in the corresponding groove in the
housing of the print head as well as the retainer rod. This centering element ensures considerably
better positioning than with just one screw connection. As a result of the lower manufacturing
tolerance for the centering element and the corresponding grooves, the positioning accuracy is
even increased. It must be ensured that the centering element is inserted accurately.
