3.2.2.3.3 Sensor installation with adapter plate
For individual applications (e.g. friction feeders), the assembly space is sometimes very limited for
the print head. Here, the product sensor can usually not be installed with the standard assembly
-
bracket directly behind the stripper plate. For these applications, REA JET offers an adapter plate
with which the product sensor is installed offset towards the back. This adapter plate offers two
assembly positions differently spaced to the back and offset. Due to the correspondingly larger
distance between the sensor and the product, REA JET recommends using this adapter plate only
in connection with the laser reflection light sensor and the stripper plate with shortened inlet and
outlet.

The sensor is equipped with two M3 through-hole threads at the upper and lower end in the front
area for assembly. The delivery includes by default two "
long
" (M3 x 16mm) screws (A) for
fastening to the assembly bracket. These screws are
not
used when used with the adapter plate.

The adapter plate is used to mount the photo-optical sensor type 2 directly to the print head. It can
be mounted to both sides of the print head. The scope of delivery includes two countersunk head
screws. Two "

) screws.
As it is important to use the correct length screw for its intended purpose, both types of screw are
illustrated in the following figure to enable the reader to see the difference.
