Troubleshooting

Problem

Possible Solution

If the flaps are not separating …

Check that the vacuum cups are not worn, torn, or plugged.

Check that the vacuum generators are not plugged.

Check the air supply to the cylinder.

Check the adjustment of the Set-up Arm cylinder.

Ensure the nose plow is installed and adjusted correctly.

Verify the flaps are not glued to the manufacturer's seam.

If the cases are not sealing square …

Check blanks for proper manufacture.

Check position adjustment of case stops, guide rails, and overhead assembly.

Check adjustment for mandrel and mandrel wings.

Check that the upper and lower flight lugs are inline with each other within 1/8”.

If there is a Main Drive Overcurrent …

Verify the chains are not binding.

Verify the current of the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) has not exceeded the preset
allowed.

Verify overloads are set per electrical print.

If the blanks fail to Trans fer to Setup Area …

Verify the sensors are not misaligned, malfunctioning or dirty.

Verify the motor is running.

Ensure the blanks are not being interfered with.

Check tension of blank in magazine side guides. Ensure the blank is not too tight. There
should be ¼” play.
