Pre-Run Preparation
1.
Remove the protective coating applied prior to machine shipping. Use a
clean rag to remove this coating from shafts and other bare metal parts.
2.
Check for any loose bolts, nuts or fastenings.
Tighten as necessary.
3.
Check that drive chains are tight. If not,
tension using a chain sag equivalent of 2% of
the center distance.
4.
Separate and mount the Discharge High Level
Sensor and Reflector approximately 10'
downstream.
Important:
The Discharge High Level sensor and Reflector must be separated
and mounted opposite of each other on the customer's conveyor.
Do not mount the Discharge High Level sensor and Reflector
directly across from each other. Mount the Discharge High Level
sensor and Reflector at a 5 degree angle. This will prevent the
sensor and reflector from seeing between cases.
Power Connections
Electrical Power
The machine requires a 230/460V, 3 phase, 60 Hz Std., 8.00 kVA power supply.
Note:
A dedicated electrical circuit is recommended for this machine.
1.
Refer to machine nameplate for voltage specifications.
2.
Connect plant power to machine at the main electrical control panel. If in
doubt, consult your electrical contractor.
Be sure all personnel are clear of the machine when starting.
When the machine is connected to an air supply, the cylinders
retract to the home position.
