Area Mode

1 area mode

Usually, select this setting.

2 area mode

Select this mode when the measurement object is a transparent object
and the reflection characteristics of the top surface and rear surface are
very different.
For example, if the received light amount of the rear surface is extremely
large compared to the top surface, area 2 can be set to include only the
light reception waveform of the rear surface so that the rear surface can
be stably measured.
This makes it possible to set the optimal exposure time for the rear
surface.

Set [Area Mode].

• When the 2 area mode is selected,

[Measurement area 2] is added to the setting

items for sensing setting.

• In the 2 area mode, the exposure time control

mode and measuring area can be set for

[Measurement area 1] and [Measurement area

2].

• In the 2 area mode, measurements are

alternately performed for measuring area 1 and

measuring area 2. Therefore, the measurement

results are output with a measurement cycle

that is twice as long as usual.
