Configuring the Anti-Tampering Alarm
3 In the
Tampering Duration
section, select the duration (in seconds) required to
trigger an anti-tampering alarm: when camera tampering is detected for the duration
specified, the alarm is triggered, minimizing the number of false alarms.
4 (Optional) You can automatically activate the switch after the tampering alarm is
triggered.
a In the
Triggered Action
section, select the
Enable alarm output
check box.
b Select the default switch status from the list.
Select
High
if the default switch status is a closed circuit or select
Low
if the
default switch status is an open circuit.
5 Select the
Record video clip
check box to enable local recording after the tampering
alarm is triggered.
The recording options appear.
6 Enter the pre-recording time interval (in seconds) in the
Pre-trigger buffer
field.
This option creates a video buffer that the camera uses to start the recording before
the alarm.
For example: If you configure a pre-recording time interval of 60 seconds, the camera
will constantly buffer a minute of video recording. When the event happens, the
camera starts recording live video and automatically adds the one minute video
buffer to the video evidence.
7 Select your configuration for the recording duration:
•
Select
Upload for X sec
and enter a recording duration (in seconds) to configure a
fixed recording duration, regardless of the actual alarm duration.
•
Select
Upload during the trigger active
to record for the whole alarm duration.
8 Click
Save
to save and apply the changes.
