Configuring HTTPS Connections
6 Click the
button to return to the home page.
Close the Web Setup and log on to the camera using the HTTPS protocol (
https://
<camera’s IP address>
).
Note:
To remove the self-signed certificate, click
Remove
in the
Installed Certificate
section.
To create and upload a custom certificate signed by a certificate authority
1 On the
System Settings
page, click the
HTTPS
tile.
The
HTTPS
sub-menu appears.
2 Select
Generate Certificate Request
from the
Install New Certificate
list.
3 In the
Install signed certificate
section, click
Create Certificate Request
.
The
Create Certificate
Request
dialog box appears.
4 Enter the required information, as described in the following table.
Option
Description
Country
The code of the country where you organization is located.
State or
province
The state or province where you organization is located.
Locality
The city where you organization is located
Organization
The name of your organization.
Organizational
Unit
The name of your department.
Common Name
The domain of your organization’s network (for example
marchnetworks.com).
