Configuring the SNMP Protocol
The
SNMP
Settings
sub-menu allows you to enable and configure the SNMP protocol for
the camera.
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
is an Internet Standard
protocol for collecting and organizing information about managed devices on IP
networks.
Important Note:
Consult your system administrator before enabling and configuring the
SNMP protocol on the camera.
To configure the SNMP protocol
1 On the
System Settings
page, click the
SNMP
tile.
The
SNMP Settings
sub-menu appears.
2 To enable the SNMP v1 protocol:
a select the
Enable SNMP v1
check box.
b Click
Save
to save and apply the changes.
3 To enable the SNMP v2 protocol:
a Select the
Enable SNMP v2
check box.
b In the
Read Community
field, enter the name of the group of users with read
rights.
c In the
Write Community
field, enter the name of the group of users with write
rights.
d Click
Save
to save and apply the changes.
