Configuring HTTPS Connections
Configuring HTTPS Connections
The
System Settings
page allows you to configure the connection to the camera using
the HTTPS protocol. You can create and install a custom self-signed certificate from the
camera, or create the request for a custom certificate that will be signed by a
certification authority.
Select your configuration:
•
“To enable the HTTPS protocol” on page 27
•
“To create a custom self-signed certificate” on page 27
•
“To create and upload a custom certificate signed by a certificate authority” on
page 29
To enable the HTTPS protocol
1 On the
System Settings
page, click the
HTTPS
tile.
The
HTTPS
sub-menu appears.
2 In the
Enable HTTPS
section, select which types of communication protocols are
allowed:
•
Select
HTTP & HTTPS
to allows both the HTTP secure protocol and the HTTPS
secure protocol.
•
Select
HTTPS only
to force the connection to the camera using the HTTPS secure
protocol.
•
Select
Disable
to disable the HTTPS secure protocol.
3 Click
Save
to save and apply the changes.
To create a custom self-signed certificate
1 On the
System Settings
page, click the
HTTPS
tile.
The
HTTPS
sub-menu appears.
2 Select
Generate Self-signed Certificate
from the
Install New Certificate
list.
