Adjusting the Compression on Selected Regions
5 To resize the region, do the following:
•
Place the mouse cursor over one of the borders or edges, until it becomes a
double-edged arrow.
•
With your mouse cursor over the arrow, click and drag to resize the region.
6 Click
Save
to save and apply changes.
The image for the secondary stream is cropped to the selected region.
7 Repeat steps 2-6 to configure the region of interest for the remaining secondary
streams.
Note:
The region of interests for the remaining encoding profiles are represented as
blue rectangles on the image. You can select a region by clicking on one of the
borders or edges.
Adjusting the Compression on Selected Regions
The
Video ROI Encoding
sub-menu allows you to configure up to three regions for each
stream where you can increase or decrease the image compression. This is useful to
adjust the bit rate for the image according to the elements on the scene. For example:
you can select a lower bitrate for background parts of the scene (i.e. the sky or a wall) or
a higher bitrate for interesting regions of the scene (i.e. a door or a parking lot).
Notes:
•
The compression settings are applied to every region configured on a stream.
•
To adjust the compression on selected regions
1 On the
Encoder Settings
page, click the
Video ROI Encoding
tile.
The
Video ROI Encoding
sub-menu appears.
