REPLACE

Reverse the removal procedure.

SAFETY

BELTS

The seat b e l t reel assemblies are located i n the engine compartment and are fitted to

the back o f the bulkhead, one on each side.

TO REMOVE

Prise off the small cover, near the bottom of the

t o

gain access t o the fixing bolt. Remove the

fixing bolt

(A)

and the lower anchor bolt at

(C).

Slide the belt fastening c l i p off the end of the b e l t (lower anchor

plote). Feed the lower anchor plate through the feed slot i n the

bulkhead. Take care not to damage the feed slot trim when

through belt and anchor plate.

Remove the belt lock from the chassis centre section, by removing

the screw at

(B)

and disconnect the 'Fasten Seat Belt' warning lamp

wires

REPLACE

Reverse the removal procedure, taking care the reel assembly

i s

mounted vertically, this ensures the sensing weight i s i n the correct

position.

NOTE: I f

new reel assembly

i s

fitted, check the belt runs from the reel the

correct way up. The belt can be mode t o run up the other

pulling

the belt out as far

i t w i l l go, folding the belt

on itself

allowing the belt to return on the reel, carefully feeding the double layer

until i t clears the slot.
