chassis ond withdrow lower link.

To Replace

Reverse the

procedure and before tightening the

ensure

the suspension i s under normal lood conditions (upper wishbone and lower

link horizontal).

suspension are i n an almost torsionless state, when the front suspension

loaded. Tighten a l l

to the torque loadings specified

i n the TECHNICAL DATA.

NOTE:

The spring abutts the chassis at the top and the lower l i n k ot the bottom,

therefore a spring compressor or clamps are ESSENTIAL i n the dismantling

process.

Remove the road wheel and compress the spring.

Remove the lower link, as previously described, taking care t o support the

Carefully withdraw the compressed

and release clamps.

To Replace

Check the rubber abutment

i n good order and

i f

Reverse the removal procedure and tighten bolts to the torque

specified i n the TECHNICAL DATA.

DAMPER

To Remove

Remove the road wheel.

Remove the damper lower mounting bolt, washers and nut.

3 .

Release the lock nut on the damper top mounting and remove nuts and

mounting rubber, while supporting the damper. Withdraw the damper

through the lower l i n k arm.
