linder liners

To Replace

Clean piston and fit the connecting rod with 'FRONT' marks on both

connecting rod and piston facing the some way. Secure the rod to the

piston with

i t s

gudgeon p i n and circlips.

I f

new rings are being fitted to an existing piston, first refit the connecting

rod with 'FRONT' marks on both piston

connecting rod facing the some

way. Secure the

rod

to the piston with

i t s

gud

eon p i n and circlips.

The liners are fitted into the cylinder

with their 'flats' i n a

rear line. When replacing liners i n the cylinder block, they MUST FIRST be

fitted clean and dry, and pushed fully into their

A t this point,

the liner 'nip' should be checked; the 'nip'

i s

the height of the liners

ABOVE

the cylinder block face and the height of the liners i n relation to

each other (see TECHNICAL DATA).

When the liner 'nip'

i s correct, withdraw the liners, apply

on the

liner flange to

block mating face. Then replace liners.
