GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The fuel system

are situated i n the rear comportment, one each side of the

engine under the floor ponelling. Recesses rnoulded into the body accommodate the

tanks and access holes, covered by large rubber bungs, are reached from under the car.

Two flush fitting f i l l e r caps are situated on the rear quarter panels; the f i l l e r

are connected to the tank by rubber hoses retained with clips. A fuel gouge

unit

fitted i n the tap of the right-hand tank and the tanks are cou

led via a con-

necting pipe to bottorn of each tank. Ventilation of the tanks i s via the filler caps on

European cars and via an evaparative loss

on Federal vehicles.
