COOLING SYSTEM

To Refill

1 .

Turn the radiator drain tap clockwise to close.

Check that the air temperature control i s still a t HOT.

Refill the cooling system to within

in) from the bottom of the

header

f i l l e r neck.

lace the header tank cap.

Check after

to ensure that the heater, or the heater unit of the air

conditioning system,

free o f a i r locks. I f necessary, release the feed

hose c l i p (top of themostat) a t the rear of the engine to expel any air,

hten the hose c l i p and top up

tank.

NOTE:

I t is important that the cooling system should contain

corrosion

inhibitor to protect the aluminium alloy of which the greater part

of both the engine and the radiator are built.

system as described above.

Release the clips securing the hoses and disconnect from the radiator.

Unscrew the

screws securing the sides of the air duct to the body.

Remove

the

bolts securing the bottom of the

duct to the chassis.

Carefully withdraw the a i r duct and front grille together with the radiator.

Remove the mdiator

the a i r duct assembly, taking care not t o

the

matrix which

i s

constructed from aluminium.
