Operation

The petrol i n l e t i s a

tube connecting the two

into

flexible fuel pipe from the

valve i s fitted. Fuel passes

the

chamber, via a needle valve, where the flow

controlled b y the needle i n the

valve and t w i n floats mounted on a common arm. As the fuel level rises, the

lifts and by means of the float orm

tag, closes the needle onto its seating when

the correct level has

attained. When the

running fuel

drawn from

the

chamber, the float descends and more fuel i s then admitted through the

valve. I n this manner, the correct level i s automatically maintained

whole of the time the carburetter i s i n action.

Fuel i n the jet orifice i s maintained at the same level as that i n the f l w t chamber
