(which operates a microswitch, turning off the power to the

bulbs). Under no

circumstances should the microswitch be operated while the bonnet and pods are i n

the 'up' position. Take precautions to protect the microswitch from inadvertent

operation during these circumstances.

REMOVAL

1 .

Disconnect the rod end link from the motor drive shaft.

2 .

Unscrew the three screws holdin

the headlamp motor mounting

bracket and withdraw motor assembly.

The motor unit can now be unscrewed from the mounting bracket.

REPLACEMENT

Reverse the removal procedure, but be sure the rod end link

i s

correctly located before tightening up the bracket fixing bolts.

REMOVAL

First remove the bonnet to gain access

the pad fixing screws.

2 .

Unscrew the two nyloc nuts on the bolts securing the pod to the

cross-shaft

Loosen the clamping bolt holding the cross-shaft and

p u l l the cross-shaft into the pod recess i n the body t o clear the

pod

bolts.

3 .

Unscrew the nyloc nut securing the other side of the pod and pull

the pod over the

protruding through the body.

Disconnect the electrical wiring to the lamp.

REPLACEMENT

Reverse the removal

adjust the position of the pod

relative to the body.
