1 Safety
1.3.3 Safety instructions for avoiding property
damage
When working on the pull-rope emergency stop switch
SEG, observe the following safety instructions to avoid
damage to the device:
Beware of crushing!
When the release lever or reset lever is actuated, there
is a risk of injuring your hand between the housing and
the release lever or reset lever (e. g. crushing, bruis-
ing).
Wear suitable protective gloves to protect your hands.
Before working on the device, disconnect the release
line from the release lever to prevent inadvertent actu-
ation of the release lever.
Beware of burn or frost injuries!
The device accepts the temperature of the environment
or the system and may become very hot or very cold. At
high temperatures there is a risk of burns. At negative
temperatures there is a risk of frost injuries.
Wear suitable protective gloves to protect your hands.
Beware!
Unless otherwise indicated in these operating instruc-
tions, you must make and secure the screw connec-
tions during assembly as accurately as they were origi-
nally implemented in the device delivered by Vossloh
Kiepe GmbH. Always use new screw retaining ele-
ments when assembling screw connections.
Beware!
Screw connections that were made to a specified tight-
ening torque must be restored with the appropriate
tightening torque when reinstalled. Please observe the
specifications in these operating instructions.
Electrical and mechanical screw connections may have
different tightening torques.
The order in which screw connections are made must
be observed where applicable.
