5 Mounting and dismounting
Connecting the pull-rope emergency stop switch
Connect the pull-rope emergency stop switch as follows
(see Figure 5-3 and Section 4.2: „Electrical connection“,
page 24) :
5. Guide the cable through the fastening clamps ( 14 )
(see Fig. 5-3) .
6. Connect the protective conductor to protective con-
ductor connection M4 ( 8 ). Tighten protective con-
ductor connection M4 ( 8 ) to a tightening torque of
1.5 Nm .
7. Connect the connection cables for the safety and
control circuit to switching elements ( 5 , 6 ) and if
applicable, connect the connection cable for the sig-
nal lamp (
12 ).
Tighten the screws for switching element connec-
tions (
5 , 6 ) and signal lamp ( 12 ) to the tightening
torque specified in Section 4.2: „Electrical connec-
tion“, page 24 .
8. If appropriate, combine the cables together with
cable ties. Ensure that the connection cables cannot
block the mechanics in the device.
Danger of death if the safety circuit is not
properly connected!
If the safety circuit is not properly connected, there is a
risk that the emergency stop function will not perform
correctly.
To connect the safety circuit, the positive opening
switching elements (
5 ) N/C contacts with connections
(:21,:22), (:41,:42) or (:61,:62) must be used (see
Section 4.2: „Electrical connection", page 24) .
Danger due to blockage of the mechanism in
the device!
The lines fed into the device must not block the mecha-
nism.
Use the fastening clamps available in the device to at-
tach the lines. Combine the lines meaningfully, using
cable ties if required.

Penetration of dust and moisture if seals are
damaged!
Seals on screwed cable glands and dummy plugs age;
as a result, the tightness of the devices can no longer
be ensured when the screwed cable glands or dummy
plugs have been opened.
Replace screwed cable glands and dummy plugs with
new screwed cable glands and dummy plugs whenever
the device has been opened.
Use only the screwed cable glands and dummy plugs
recommended by the manufacturer.
