11.2. Configuration

Settings

S41/109

Configuration settings are set by the commissioning engineer and should
not need modification unless physical changes are made to the plant.
For this reason they are not generally accessible. If a change does need
to be made, the procedure to follow is described under 9.6. Changing
Configuration Settings after Commissioning.

Any changes to Configuration Settings should be recorded in 16.
Appendix 3 - Settings Record.

S41 Number of compressors

Allowable values are 1, 2 or 3. This value must correspond with the
number of compressors controlled by the Fridgewatch 2100 and hence
the number of input/output cards (one for each compressor).

If S41 = 0, when power is first supplied to the Fridgewatch 2100
Controller, the display shows ‘System Unconfigured’, ‘Restart system and
enter Configuration Mode’, the panel is locked and none of the input
buttons will operate. This indicates that Operator and Configuration
Settings have not been set and need to be reviewed and altered as
required before Fridgewatch can control compressor operation; refer to 9.
Commissioning.

S42 Number of first compressor on the package unit

Normally set to 1, but in the event of more than one package unit, other
inputs are permitted. For example for two package units each with three
compressors, S42 for the first unit would be set to 1 to display
compressors 1, 2 and 3 while S42 for the second unit would be set to 4 to
display compressor numbers 4, 5 and 6.

The appropriate value of S43, 1 or 2, switches between the linearization
constants used when scaling the analogue value that is measured.

The 3MIO1-E61 card replaces the 3MIO1-C41 which is no longer
available. A firmware upgrade is required if Fridgewatch 2100 is running
version <2.142.030.

NOTE: When replacing the 3MIO1-C41 card with the
3MIO1-E61 card, do not forget to change S43 = 2.

S43 = 2 implemented software release

S45 P2 transducer: range (units: pressure in bar g or

temperature in °C)

S44 is used to specify whether analogue input 2 on the 3MIO1 card is
used and the type of transducer/transmitter fitted; refer to Table 2 and
Table 10. The measured value, if used, is displayed as P2.

S45 defines the range of the transducer/transmitter fitted as defined in
Table 10. If S44 = 0 then S45 is ignored.
