9.4.2.
Inputting Operator Settings During Commissioning
Initially, Operator Settings will depict their default values as defined in 16.
Appendix 3 - Settings Record.
(a)
Review and change Operator Settings S1 to S36 inclusive
(S37/S40 are display only) by following the procedure described in
Fig 29 Looking at or Changing Operator Settings.
Record the new operator setting value(s) in the boxes provided in
16. Appendix 3 - Settings Record.
(b)
Remove the Supervisor Key unless the operating mode is about to
be selected; refer to 9.4.3.
9.4.3.
Operating Mode for the First Start
For reasons of safety, ‘manual’ start/stop – ‘manual’ capacity control
mode should be selected for starting the plant for the first time and for the
initial period of operation. ‘Auto’ or ‘remote’ start/stop mode can be used
once commissioning has been completed and the plant can be left to run
unattended, assuming it is otherwise safe to do so.
Refer to 9.7. Changing the Operating Mode.
9.5.
Changing Operator Settings after Commissioning
Apart from one setting, Operator Settings can be altered while the
compressor is running and come into effect immediately; refer to Fig 29
Looking at or Changing Operator Settings. The exception to this rule is
setting S19 Master/Slave Connected which can only be changed when
Fridgewatch 2100 is in ‘off’ mode.
(a)
In order to change operator setting S19, it is necessary to select
‘off’ mode; refer to 9.7. Changing the Operating Mode.
If the compressor is not running, wait at least 10 seconds to make
sure Fridgewatch 2100 has accepted the mode change. If the
compressor is already running it should stop and be inhibited from
restarting.
Change S19 as required; refer to Fig 29 Looking at or Changing
Operator Settings.
(b)
If necessary, select the required operating mode; refer to 9.7.
Changing the Operating Mode.
9.6. Changing
Configuration
Settings after Commissioning
The procedure for changing Configuration Settings differs slightly from
the procedure used to initially input these values during commissioning in
that the operating mode must be changed before and after this operation.
CAUTION
Configuration Settings are fundamental to the way the
Fridgewatch 2100 Controller interfaces with the rest of
the refrigeration plant. Any changes, which should not
be necessary unless physical alterations have been
made to the refrigeration plant, must be made with
caution.
Before changing Configuration Settings it is necessary to stop the
compressor.
(a)
Select ‘off’ mode by following the procedure described in 9.7.
