Common Oil Separator
Refer to Fig 1.
If one oil separator and one opto sensor or level switch
are used, wire to this card. Link terminals x19 and x20
on the 3MIO2 card(s) (refer to Fig 26) and set S83 = 0.
If each compressor has its own oil separator, opto
sensor or level switch, wire compressor 1 to this card,
wire compressors 2 and 3 to the 3MIO2 card(s) (refer
to Fig 26) and set S83 = 1.
If an oil level switch is fitted instead of an opto sensor,
the opto sensor interface is not used and must be
disconnected from terminals 119 and 120. The oil level
switch (contacts open on fault) is wired directly to
terminals 119 and 120.
Check jumper connection J18 on the 3MIO1 card; refer
to Fig 23.
If neither an oil level switch nor oil level sensor are
fitted, link terminals 119 and 120.
Opto sensor interface unit or oil level switch contacts
open on fault condition (internally timed by Fridgewatch
2100 to prevent nuisance tripping). Fridgewatch 2100
displays a trip: event code E4 Low Oil Level in
Separator/Reservoir.

Switch contacts open on fault condition (internally
timed by Fridgewatch 2100 to prevent nuisance
tripping). Check jumper connection J20 on the 3MIO1
card; refer to Fig 23.
ODPS or flow switch contacts open on fault condition.
Fridgewatch 2100 displays a trip: event code E7 Low
Oil Injection Differential Pressure (ODPS).

mounted in the
compressor motor starter. Fridgewatch 2100 will
energise this relay to start the compressor. A
compressor motor ‘running’ signal should be returned
to Fridgewatch via volt-free contacts in the starter that
close when the compressor motor starts and runs.
Terminal prefix: 1 = compressor 1, the card positioned in the Fridgewatch 2100 enclosure immediately adjacent to the
mounting board; refer to Fig 4. This prefix does not physically appear on the card.
1
If fitted, depends on the application.
2
Relays must be low consumption type, 40 mA maximum, Omron LY2 or similar (RS Components part number 329-799).
3
Diode type 1N4004
MUST
be fitted. Connect as illustrated in Fig 11 to ensure correct polarity.
