Where indicated, relays must be fitted with a type 1N4004 reverse bias
diode connected in parallel.
CAUTION
It is ESSENTIAL to connect the diode the correct way
round, as illustrated in Fig 11, or Fridgewatch 2100 may
be seriously damaged.
NOTE: the diode MUST be connected as shown, otherwise Fridgewatch 2100
may be seriously damaged.

Power Supply Connections (Lower Half of Enclosure)
The Fridgewatch 2100 Controller will normally be supplied already
mounted on the package unit. Mains supply wiring to terminations in the
lower half of the Fridgewatch enclosure may already be in place if mains
distribution is used, or may require a separate run of cable; check this
point with the certified wiring diagram.
Power may be taken from a line and neutral supply. If power is derived
from a transformer, the common side of the secondary winding must be
earthed.
NOTE: centre tapped earthed type transformers MUST
NOT be used with the standard Fridgewatch 2100 panel,
contact J & E Hall International.
Check the position of the supply jumper on the FCPS1 power supply card
corresponds to the supply voltage, 240 V or 110 V; refer to Fig 16.

Heater
Provision has been made inside the panel for connecting a 10 W self-
regulating anti-condensation heater.

Wiring Connections to dc Circuits (Upper Half of Enclosure)
The upper half of the Fridgewatch 2100 enclosure contains the thermistor
and opto sensor conditioning units, microprocessor and support cards,
sensing pressure and/or temperature as well as digital signals to and
from the starter panels, (start signals, trip signals, load/unload signals
etc).
Fig 14 to Fig 26 provide full details of wiring connections. Also refer to
J & E Hall International certified wiring diagrams.
NOTE: use only 0.5 mm
2
cable inside the Fridgewatch
2100 panel.
