Be careful when carrying out any
operation on the engine or in its
compartment.
○
Do not open the engine hood
whenever there is steam rising or
coolant over-flowing to avoid
scalds. Work can be carried out
only when there is no steam rising
out or coolant overflowing and
when the engine is cooled down.
○
Pull out the ignition key and
apply the parking brake after the
engine is turned off. Make sure
that the transmission is in Neutral
or P position.
○
Keep children away from the
engine.
○
Never touch the cooling fan
when the engine is still running. In
such case, the fan may suddenly
be started. In addition, never open
○
To avoid an accident, make sure
that the engine hood is fully locked
before driving. Or, it may open and
block your sight when your car is
driving.

Always insert the support rod
into the snap-in to prevent it from
falling down and causing injuries
whenever checking the engine.
○
If the engine hood is kept lifted,
do not start your car. Or, it will
block your sight or fall down or be
damaged.
To promptly discover fuel or oil
leakage, frequently check your parking
lot to see if there is any fuel or oil stain
or trace. If there is any leakage, drive
your car to the JAC authorized after
-service centers for repair.
Description of operation safety in
engine compartment
As any work (including checking and
adding brake fluid) conducted on the
engine or in engine compartment may
result in scalds, injuries, accidents or
fire hazards, measures must therefore
be taken to ensure operation safety.
