Check engine coolant level
○ If you open the cover of the
coolant expansion pot or radiator
when the engine and radiator are
hot, steam or hot fluid may spray
out and cause severe scalds.
Never open the cover of the
coolant expansion pot or radiator
when the engine and radiator are
hot.
○ Use the anti-freeze with the
same brand. Different brands of
anti-freeze
come different in
formula. Once different brands of
anti-freeze are mixed, there may
be chemical reactions between
their additives. That will change
chemical properties of their additi
-ves.
Engine coolant reservoir
Make sure that the engine temper
-ature is the same as the ambient
temperature when measuring the
coolant level. If the coolant level
reduces to or below L, you need to add
an appropriate amount of coolant until
the level reaches its normal position.
Do not add too much coolant. In
general, the coolant level shall be
between the two scales L (low) and F
(full).
The cooling system is an enclosed
system. Coolant loss is small. If the
coolant level is far too low, it indicates
that there are leaks. In this case,
contact the JAC authorized after
-service centers for help.
