Recommended engine coolant
The engine coolant consists of water
and
additives. Not all additives
available on markets are suitable for
your car.
Always use the coolant suitable for
your car engine, or it will damage the
engine. Coolant additives are hazar
-dous
to your health. It is
recommended that you buy the
coolant recommended by the JAC
authorized after-service centers. Add
or replace the coolant based on
parameters listed in the following
table:

Replace coolant
Follow the Warranty & Maintenance
Manual of JAC J5 Passenger Car when
replacing the coolant. The procedure to
replace the coolant comes as below:
1. Park your car in a horizontal position.
Lift the parking brake lever. Remove
the radiator cap when the engine gets
cool.
2. Place a vessel collecting the coolant.
Open the water valve of the radiator.
Drain the engine coolant.
3. Add an appropriate amount of
coolant into the radiator following
relevant instructions on the engine
coolant box.
4. Turn the radiator cap counterclock
-wise to the specified torque. This will
help reduce the pressure in the cooling
system. Take off the radiator cap. Add
softened or distilled water until the
level reaches the radiator opening.
5. Cover the radiator cap. Check if the
